They're Coming

For all you early-morning blog checkers, my apologies for getting these posts up later and later in the day. When it rains it pours, and I've had a lot of design work to do lately. Plus Jewell's been on a nap strike and extra cranky. So I'm forced to prematurely release a sneak preview of the wedding designs I'm frantically working to get up on The Paper Nut site. We've planned to get it up by the end of this month; obviously, time is running out. Stay tuned...they're almost here!

Jewell's Picks & Pics: Rub a Dub Dub

I heart bath time! And bath time toys. Here are some of my favorite picks. The squirty toys are also excellent for chewing on.

Golden Rectangle Press

I ran into this wedding invitation line the other day (meaning, on the internet). I first found their Etsy site, then checked out the Golden Rectangle Press website. Beautiful stuff! I can appreciate quality illustration and close attention to type layout...not to mention excellent printing. Know anyone who's getting married?

2 For the Show

A couple of fine new finds on Etsy. I absolute LOVE these cards and prints. What do you think? Also, just as a matter of curiosity (albeit purposeful curiosity), if you were to spend you hard-earned dollars on some letterpressed products, what would you be most likely to buy? A calendar? Limited edition print? Birthday card? Custom work? I find myself most tempted by the art prints.

A Colorful Life: Lily Pulitzer

I have honestly never gone into a Lily Pulitzer shop, mainly because it's not my mother's taste, so I assumed it wouldn't be mine. Although most of it isn't exactly my style, the flowery, eye-popping color translates fabulously onto paper. I discovered these on Martha Stewart's blog, and it's still the only place I can find them (the Lily Pulitzer site only has everyday stationery). But while looking on the site, I browsed the clothing collections and found quite a bit of that J.Crew/Kate Spade look, a bright, unapologetic optimistic (and ritzy) retro feel. Maybe next time I see a LIly Pulitzer store, I'll go in.
