Bibliodyssey: Quill and Flourish

I saw these yesterday and felt like I struck a gold mine. This is the Duke of Pfalz-Neuburg's Master Scribe Book from the 1600s, with writing in Latin, Spanish, French, Dutch and Italian accompanied by figurative calligraphy. I always make sure not to miss a post on Bibliodyssey. They post fantastic images from very old books and manuscripts. It's like a really fun history lesson. You can peruse their archives or just go to their flickr page. This set can be viewed here.

that is incredible! I feel overwhelmed when I look at things like that- how can people be so talented?
